Ramappa Temple records Kakatiya engineering and patronage

The Rudreshwara, or Ramappa, Temple was built in the thirteenth century under the Kakatiyas within a wider temple and reservoir landscape. Its carved stone, lightweight roof materials and engineered foundations reflect specialised craft and an ambitious regional court.

Telangana becomes a state in 2014

The Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act created Telangana on 2 June 2014 from districts of the existing Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad initially served as a common capital under transitional provisions, while the two successor states developed separate administrations.
