About this atlas

History with its sources visible.

Who makes throughTimes

throughTimes is an independent educational atlas, beginning with the Story of INDIA, built to help readers move through the subcontinent’s history spatially and chronologically. The editorial team writes concise original summaries and links readers to the institutional, archival, or encyclopaedic source behind each claim.

The atlas is a learning resource, not a substitute for a specialist monograph. Ancient, medieval, colonial, and present-day boundaries are labelled according to the strength and limits of the evidence available.

Editorial method

Evidence, context, and correction.

Every historical card carries a source link. When scholarship disagrees, the card states the uncertainty rather than presenting a disputed date or boundary as settled fact. Modern States and Union Territories are shown as present-day geographic lenses and are not projected backward as ancient political units.

Current-events entries carry dates and are reviewed for source durability. Corrections, missing citations, and errors can be reported through the project repository so the editorial record can be updated transparently.
